As the winter continues to hit North Western Pennsylvania with cold and snow, inside the Clarion County Career Center, things are already starting to heat up.  In our Automotive Technology Program, students are learning automotive systems on a simulator that was created right here at the Career Center as well as by working on running cars and trucks.  Construction students have set the walls and placed the roof on the home that they are building in their class.  Culinary Arts students keep the staff and students of the Career Center from going hungry every Friday by preparing and serving food during Cafe.  Cosmetology students are busy with Tuesday and Thursday clinics where they are providing hair, nail and beauty treatments to the public, and Computer Networking students continue to provide support inside of our building, including moving and wiring the office copier, as well as providing tech support for our teachers and students.  These are only some of the real world learning experiences that CCCC students get to participate in every day.  Not only those listed above, but all nine of our secondary programs offer these types of hands on activities where students don't just learn the skills necessary to succeed, but put those skills to use during the school day.   Many of our students even use those skills in our Co-op program where they get real jobs and earn real money during the school day. If these are the types of experiences that you think you could benefit from, call the Career Center at 814-226-4391 to get your application for the 2018-2019 school year.

Also, another round of adult education courses has begun, and as always, online adult classes are available through the Career Center's partnership with Ed2Go by visiting www.clarionadulted.org.  Courses available through this online and flexible platform include such things as Writing, Health and Fitness, Legal Careers and many others.  Our Practical Nursing Program is also in full swing offering full and part time options to meet the demands of our students' busy lives.  At the Clarion County Career Center, we pride ourselves on expanding opportunities for all residents of Clarion County and our surrounding communities through advancing their education to advance their careers to enhance their lives.
